Is your website getting the traffic you want it to?

Generating highly relevant traffic to your website can increase brand awareness, drive more sales, and, ultimately, exponential growth.

The problem?

Many of us have no idea how to grow our traffic effectively. Countless businesses spend a lot of time and money trying to grow their audience without seeing any benefits.

It can take months, if not years, to see any meaningful return on this investment.

And that’s time that a lot of businesses don’t have.

Luckily, there are growth hacks that can help you increase visits to your site!

In this blog post, we will discuss some powerful strategies you can implement to increase web visitors and gain greater visibility.

Watch the YouTube video below for 12 places to promote your mini webinar...

Here are eleven of the best:

Put Your Mini Webinars on Your Website

Before we get into the different hacks to increase traffic, we need to create the (landing) page to drive traffic.

You're going to put your mini webinar on this page above the fold.

Above the fold is a term that means near the top of your webpage, so visitors don't have to scroll to see it.

Once you've created your mini webinar page, allow people to play it at will, meaning no opt-in is required, and it just sits on your site like a video.

Now you're ready to drive traffic using the methods below.

1. Improve Website Attributes

One of the easiest things you can do to improve website traffic is to tweak your website.

You can write the best content and marketing strategy, but your efforts will be hamstrung if your site is poorly designed, and you won’t get to where you need to be.

Google is putting importance on high-quality website design and function.

Google wants to ensure its visitors have the best experience possible when visiting sites it recommends because that means they’ll be more likely to use Google again!

If your site is slow and sluggish, that doesn’t equate to a good experience!

Likewise, if it is poorly designed, bland to look at, or generally not fun to use.

So I grouped a few simple fixes below. Here are three easy tweaks you can make to your site for more traffic...

1.Compress Images

To quickly lower your load times, you can compress the images on your website.

If you are using WordPress, you can do this easily using a plugin.

These can immediately shrink the file sizes of all the images on your site, drastically speeding up the amount of time it takes for your pages to load!

My sites are built on Kajabi (link to affiliate) and Shopify (link to shop); therefore, I can’t easily use a plugin.

However, I chose the paid route and hired an agency to optimize my website for faster loading times.

One of the things they did was compress all my images.

That was a while ago, and I have added more images since then, so I’m seriously thinking about hiring the agency again.

2. Remove Unnecessary Plugins

I use Kajabi (start a free trial here) for my main website, but if you use WordPress, this step is for you.

Look at the plugins you have installed; if you have a huge number you aren’t using, you should delete them as a matter of priority.

This is an immediate way to improve the speed of your site without harming the user experience in any way!

3. Add a Table of Contents

Adding a table of contents to your blog posts can help improve your website's SEO, increasing the amount of organic traffic you get.

A table of contents helps users easily find what they are looking for, and it also helps search engines identify the structure of your content better, making it easier for them to crawl and index your website.

Make sure to include appropriate titles and links for easier navigation.

If you’re a Kajabi user like me, read this blog post or watch this video on how to add a table of contents to your blog post.

2. Add Website URL to Email Signature

Here’s a two-step strategy.

Add your website URL to the image banner of your email. When people click on the banner, they will be sent to your website.

ConvertKit makes this easy to do by adding a little bit of code to your email template.

Secondly, you can add your website URL to your email signature. And I’m not just talking about your business email.

Add it to your "personal" email if it makes sense. Every time you send an email, it will be seen by the recipient, and they may click on the link and visit your website.

This is especially effective if you have a large mailing list or contact database that you regularly engage with.

Maybe I don’t have to say this next part, but I will - DO NOT add your website URL to your work email signature if you still have a traditional job.

That would be very awkward, and you may get in trouble.

3. Leverage Email Marketing

Leverage Email Marketing to reach out to existing customers or potential new ones Email marketing is a powerful tool to reach out to existing customers and potential new ones.

You can create email campaigns with the goal of increasing website traffic by sending useful content and exclusive offers to your subscribers.

Your emails should encourage people to click through to your website so that they can take advantage of what you have to offer.

Try using an email automation tool to make this process easier and track your results.

I use and love ConvertKit as my email service provider.

You can sign up for ConvertKit for free, but to use their automation, you will need to upgrade to the paid version, which starts at $9/month.

4. Optimize Your Website for SEO

Optimize your website for search engines by creating content that uses keywords relevant to your industry.

One of the best ways to increase your website traffic is to optimize your website for search engines.

This means incorporating keywords strategically throughout your website copy, titles, descriptions, and tags.

You can also improve the technical aspect of your website by focusing on website speed, mobile-friendliness, and site architecture.

All these factors come into play when search engines crawl your website and decide how to rank it.

So, optimize your website for SEO to boost your traffic over time.

5. Utilize Social Media Platforms

Use social media to promote your website and engage with potential customers Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn are great tools to attract more traffic to your website.

Use these platforms to share your blog posts, upcoming promotions, and services. You can also use social media to engage followers, answer questions, and provide useful tips.

The more engagement you have on social media, the more chances you'll have to attract more traffic to your website.

Use Click-to-Tweet

With the rise of social media, one tool that can help increase your website traffic is Click-to-Tweet.

This feature allows you to create pre-populated tweets that your audience can share with just one click.

Not only does this make it easier for your followers to share your content, but it also allows your message to reach a wider audience.

Plus, it's incredibly simple to use.

Just insert a catchy message (or tweet) with a link to your website into the Click-to-Tweet website.

Then, share the link with your followers and watch the traffic roll in.

By strategically using Click-to-Tweet throughout your website, you can encourage visitors to share your content and help drive more traffic to your site.

Here's an example of this strategy where you can share the YouTube video above on your Twitter feed.

6. Share Links to Your Website

Share Links to Your Website on relevant forums, communities, and directories.

These sites are for sharing your content like blog posts; however, driving traffic to your blog post is ultimately driving traffic to your website, so why not!

Share your blog post on sites like Pingler.com and Pingomatic.com.

By doing so, you can ping your website or blog to multiple search engines and directories, which will help you reach a wider audience.

You submit your URL, get more visibility and engagement, and ultimately drive more traffic to your website. Please don't underestimate the value of ping services, as they can be a game-changer for your website traffic success.

Secondly, you can also increase your website's visibility and attract more traffic by sharing links to your website on relevant forums and communities.

These are places where people from your target audience tend to hang out and discuss topics related to the niche or industry that you're in.

So, make sure to join these platforms and share useful insights as well as links to your website whenever possible.

This can help you drive more targeted traffic that is interested in what you have to offer.

7. Create Internal Links

Internal linking is another important factor to consider when trying to attract more traffic to your website.

Internal links help Google organize your content and improve indexing, leading to increased visibility in the search engine results page (SERP).

At the same time, they keep people reading your site longer and moving through your pages – which positively impacts your SEO.

Make sure to link back to relevant blog posts within your pages and use descriptive anchor text so that it's easy for users to navigate your website.

This can help with user experience and boost organic traffic to your website.

8. Reach Out to Influencers

Start building relationships with influencers in your industry - they can talk about you and drive more traffic to your site.

Influencers have large followings, which can be leveraged to spread the word about your website, products, or services.

Who do you reach out to?

Create a Dream 100 list of people and brands who already have an audience similar to yours, and one by one get in front of those people.

But what’s the best way to go about this if you don’t have a good enough relationship to ask them to share links to your website on their social media accounts or even within their content so that you can tap into their audience and attract more visitors to your website?

  1. Make sure to offer something in return as an incentive for influencers to help you.
  2. Or, take action on an influencer's product, get results, and share your wins in their community. There's a good chance they'll reach out to collaborate with YOU.

9. Write a Guest Post

Another strategy is to create content for guest posts on other websites with a high traffic volume.

This involves writing guest posts for other websites in your niche or industry.

Land a guest post on one of the biggest sites in your niche, and this will supply you with a HUGE hit of “link juice” that could very well see your site shoot to the top of Google.

Not only that, but it could help you to get a huge amount of direct traffic from the fans of that blog!

The last tip is to choose websites with a good reputation and authority to ensure maximum benefits.

10. Guide the User with Visual Cues

One of the big mistakes many creators make here is to fill their site with content and not apply any visual cues to show the reader what they should be looking at.

Creating visuals like images and videos on your website can be a great way to attract more visitors. Visual cues draw more attention than plain text, so add visuals throughout your website.

The visuals should be relevant and engaging so visitors will stay on your website longer and eventually take action, such as purchasing your products or services.

Visuals can also help break up long pieces of content, making it easier for visitors to consume the information you are providing.

Know what action you want your visitor to take next, and then use visual cues to make sure they take it!

11. Run Targeted Ads

I saved paid ads for last because all the strategies from before were for organic traffic.

To put all your efforts on steroids, I said run advertisements on Google or other popular search engines to increase visibility.

You can run ads on Google, YouTube,  and social media like Facebook and Instagram or display ads.

The thing I like about paid advertising is that it allows you to get your ads in front of your target audience and drive them toward your website in less time than the organic strategies.

Just make sure to set a budget and track your advertising ROI to ensure the maximum impact.

I advise purchasing an ads course for your platform of choice so that you have some idea of what you’re doing and do not waste money.

Facebook Ads for List Building

If you want to learn to run ads on Facebook and Instagram, I highly suggest looking into Zach Spuckler's FB Ads for List Building Bootcamp.

He's my go-to guy for Facebook Ads because his strategies WORK, and he's going to teach them to you over the course of 5-days.

He's been running ads for 9 years, and he's worked behind the scenes on launches (big and small), so he knows what's up!

To date, the BootCamp is only $25!! You can't beat that.

You can also hire an agency to run ads for you, but before you do, check out the BootCamp, as it may be a better fit for the wallet.

Bonus Tip

You know what? I'm going to add one more tip here.

Make sure you have a way to capture email on your website or at least have the Facebook pixel installed on your website.

What good is increasing your traffic if you can’t, in some way, nurture people to return to your site and make the right offer to them?

It is not just about driving traffic only.

You need a real strategy to make the most out of the increased traffic you’re going to get.

Getting More Traffic to Your Website is not an Overnight Success Story.

When deciding on different strategies and tactics, make sure there’s data to back up decisions.

Ultimately, the goal is to add incremental visitors week over a week that are more likely to engage with your brand and become customers or loyal followers.

Start by tweaking your website with attention-grabbing headlines and visuals that entice a reader to stay even longer.

Leveraging email marketing to reach out to your existing customers and potential new ones while optimizing content for SEO can make a huge difference.

Also, don't forget about sharing links on forums and building relationships with influencers in your industry- these are great ways of increasing the visibility of your business too!

If you're looking for immediate results in gaining website traffic, implementing at least one of these strategies could give you that desired boost!
