kajabi tools tutorial

Wanna create a link in Kajabi and send traffic to another URL? Me too which is why I had to figure it out. This Kajabi hack is similar to how you would use Pretty Links plugin in Wordpress. You can say this is a free Pretty Links alternative.

So in this new Kajabi tutorial / Kajabi training video, I share how to create affiliate links with Kajabi using Kajabi pages.

And this isn’t just to redirect affiliate links, you can also use this information to create any redirect links you want.

This post contains affiliate links that allow you to find the items mentioned in this content and support the blog at no cost to you. While this blog may earn minimal sums when the reader uses the links, the reader is in NO WAY obligated to use these links. Thank you for your support!

So if you’re ready to learn how to use new Kajabi with redirect links - Let’s Go! 👍

Here is the code snippet mentioned in the video:

Why Would You Need To Do This

I came from WordPress to Kajabi. My custom domain used with WordPress was aprillereed.com. I've used WordPress for years, years! And in the past I have done so many guest podcast episodes and guest contributor for blog posts, in additional to guest lives and every time I have shared my Wordpress link.

Redirect Link for Old Links You've Forgotten About

When I migrated over to Kajabi I was able to take my custom
domain over to Kajabi. But all those old blog posts and all those old podcasts
that I don't own they belong to somebody else they have the old link to my opt-in.
So I had 3 options:

 • Recreate the landing page in Kajabi
 • Try to remember who all I guest blog posts and podcast and have done Facebook lives for and send them the updated link... 🤦🏽‍♀️
 • Purchase an alternative. Something similar to PrettyLink is for WordPress.

Well know of those options worked for me so I traveled the world of Google and found the super cool workaround using the code snippet I posted above.

Redirect Links for Your Affiliates Versus Using Gobbledygook

If you want people to click on your Kajabi link and they go over to an affiliate link on
Amazon and they don't have to see all that extra gobbledygook that Amazon
affiliate links have, you can do this. If you don't want them to see the bit.ly
link you can do this as well. Whatever you want them to
land on.

The Overall Steps

1. Sign into Kajabi. Click on Website, then Pages, and then at the top on the right-hand side create a +New Page.

2. Scroll down and use Danke. We are choosing this one because it has the least amount of elements on the page. If for some reason the Danke page is no longer available or Kajabi and updated their themes again, please let us know at support @ aprillereed dot com and we'll be happy to update this blog post.

3. Click on the theme. And then click on the Get Started button. Next you want to title your new page. If you're using as a redirect link from a previous old link... I like to name my page the name of the freebie, the webinar, or whatever it is and Where the link is posted.

4. Once the page opens you will see a Call to Action page. We can do this in 2 ways: Deleted the Call to Action section so that this is a completely blank page or follow the steps in the video. In the video, we update the elements on the Call to Action section. So let do that.

5. Click on Call to Action. Now you should see a block for Text and a block titled Call to Action. Click on the Call to Action because we want to delete it.

While in the Call to Action block, scroll down and click on Delete This Block

Now click on the Text block. Delete all the contents within the text window. To be click you are deleting...

Thank you for signing up!

Check your inbox for a confirmation email, and we can't wait to see you at the event!

6. Click on source code otherwise the <> to open the Source code box.

Paste this code:

Yourwebsitehere is where you put the designation website. In other words, where you want to send traffic. If this is to amazon, you would put your amazon affiliate link there in between the brackets.

Click OK.

Click SAVE on the left-hand bottom.

7. Perfect but there one more thing to do. Go back to your Pages. You can do this by clicking the back link in the top -left corner and continue going back until you reach your Pages.

Locate the page you just created. Click on the 3 dots (...) on the far right end of your page.

This will bring down a drop down box. Click on Edit Details.

8. This is your opportunity to give your page a better title that is more memorable if you like. Otherwise, I want to draw you attention to the URL section. Do you see your Custom Domain? There should be an opportunity to add whatever you want at the end of your Custom Domain. Or Kajabi's domain if you are just using Kajabi's domain name.

This is where you would place the link you want to share with others. For example, my old link from 2018 is www.aprillereed.com/webinarchecklist. If you were to click on that link prior to me creating the redirect, you would have seen an ugly 404 Page. However, because of the code snippet that was added, you are now directed to https://webinarjumpstart.net. Go ahead and try it... either link will work.

Visibility should automatically be Published. If not, click on Published. Otherwise ignore everything else on this page as far as changing anything.

9. Last step... click Save.

And that's how you create a redirect link using Kajabi.

I hope you found this article and video (if you watched it) useful. Do me a favor and share the love with anyone else you know that has gone from one platform to Kajabi. You could be saving them hours of frustration and headache. Or you can just share it so other learn about me. Thanks and hope to see you around here again!
